When drinking with a straw, place the straw toward the back of the mouth, so the liquid will not wash over your front teeth. Take a small tube of fluoride toothpaste and a toothbrush with you when you go to school or work as well. For example, you can find single-use mini-sized toothbrushes in the store that can be used when you are away from home. You don't have to rinse your mouth with water when you use the small temporary toothbrushes.

To prevent the dulling of whitened teeth, stay away from abrasive foods or tooth polishes. You can keep your teeth white by using regular fluoride toothpaste.
